the worst is when there's a herd of elephants blocking the road. happened more than once to me while at Kruger.

This is typical in Africa??
My uncle just went to Uganda and he didn't see a giraffe....

I wouldnt call this typical simply because even though there are allot of them is south africa you still need to go to a national park or at least a privitely owned piece of land to see them.

Giraffes aren't common in Uganda, they are more in the Southern regions of Africa, such as South Africa, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia etc. :)

In South Africa, Kenya and Tanzania they are pretty common in the wild parks....dunno about Uganda :)

Hi!

We're a student house in Dresden, Germany (www.wums.org) organizing a benefit party with african theme, for an african association (www.asso-lire.com) in december.

Would you allow us to use this photograph for our flyer? It is by far the best visual material we have seen for this... and it would be great.

Cheers, congratulation for your whole work, and thanks in advance,
Elise

Hi Elise,

Thanks for the interest in one of my photographs but they can't be used by anybody else then by myself. Especially the one you would like to use is a special photograph for me and maybe my best work so far. I hope you can understand my answer and feeling for this photograph. Thanks anyway for asking and not "stealing" my work by just using it for your own project. Hope you will find another photograph that you can use for your benefit party and I wise you all good luck with organizing it.

Cheers,
Victor

ps your link didn't work (www.asso-lire.com)

Hi Viktor,

Sorry, the link is www.asso-lire.org ;
thanks for your answer anyway - I do agree that this is a work of professional quality, and I understand that you feel that way.

We'll do it differentely, then, and with a (much less good) photograph from me. I wish you luck for the future anyway - your work is really good!

Do you show and/or sell your work anywhere except on devart? Or are you thinking of doing it before the end of your studies?

Thanks anyway!
Elise

Hi Elise,

Thanks for understanding my feelings :)

To be honest I don't sell work yet...only on personal request but like you said I'm planning on selling photographs more seriously when I'm further into my study.

Whenever somebody is interested in my work I will link them to this site: [link]

Cheers,
Victor
